Web UX & Design
ElemetalDiamond.com
A diamond wholesale division needed a website to display services and event dates, and to allow customers to fill and send Buy or Sell forms and messages.
Wireframes and mockups designed in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator.
GOAL
Provide sitemap, wireframes, and high-fidelity renderings to clearly and elegantly showcase the business' services and events.
DESIGN FEATURES
Most competitor websites were littered with images of piles of diamonds and people inspecting stones through loupes. This imagery was overused, and was also a security risk, so I opted for an image-less design; instead focusing on messaging, and recognizable icons to convey Elemetal Diamond's mission and services to users.
The business' email registry was the best method for notifying clients of upcoming diamond events (an extremely successful feature for the business), so I placed an email-registration CTA high on the Home page to promote sign-ups.
The client wanted a minimalistic sitemap, and after providing me with the major points for messaging, I designed a sitemap condensed to 6 pages.
And after agreeing on the sitemap, I created the simple wireframe seen below.
After agreeing on general wireframe concepts, I created high-fidelity renderings of each page to provide developers an exact model to follow, which expedited the development process greatly.
